    Rainbow best

Hi crafters. I did a card for some Stamplorations challenges. The theme and sketch challenge has this sketch: Now who can resist a rainbow? The theme is stamps and big words. I used the Picket Fence Circles of faith stamp with black ink and some masking. I joined the lines with a Pitt pen in the middle. I coloured it with alcohol markers and used the Stamplorations It’s all about you! stamps for the sentiment. I am entering the card in these Stamplorations challenges: Theme/ Sketch challenge December 2018 CAS card challenge December: Anthing goes, optional green. Special

Hi crafters. I decided to turn another gel press print into a card. This is a magazine print from a glossy magazine. I added words from Stamplorations- It’s all about you! stamp set. It was a bit bare on the left so I added some Viva Inca gold – Cobaltblue paste through Tim Holtz mini stencil set 33. The paste is very shiny and works well with the blue paint. I am entering this card in the Stamplorations Mixed media: Anything goes challenge. And the Stamplorations Never ending Anything goes challenge

    Seriously cool!

Hi crafters. I was watching Lydia Fiedler’s recent video about taking gel prints that aren’t working and doodling on them. Having several prints like this, I decided to have a go. This print was a failed magazine print where you could just make out a vague figure. I coloured the blank bits in the background with copics and outlined and doodled. I initially used a very fine copic black but went back over it with a Pitt pen to make it more obvious. I also used a white gel pen. The sentiment is from Stamplorations: Seriously die and It’s all about you! Stamp set. I am entering this card in…

    Christmas gifts

Hi crafters. I give most of my cards away to relatives at Christmas. It’s hard to know what to put inside the cards as I don’t know who it will be given to. This year I have stamped multiple copies of sentiments onto label paper which is meant to go in a printer. Some are small labels and some whole sheets. I have trimmed them into strips. I also recently got the Simon says Stamp tiny words sentiments and stamped them without removing them from the backing sheet. I have cut them up, except for one page as a guide. The pieces have been put in gift boxes I decorated…

    Happy Anniversary

Hi crafters. I made another card with the MFT Diagonal Design Background Stamp while I had it out. I stamped it in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in copper. I then sprayed the whole panel with water and added distress stains in ground expresso, walnut stain, forest moss, black soot and brushed corduroy. I decided to swipe them across under the stamping to fit with the sketch challenge. I heat embossed the sentiment in copper from MFT Essential sentiments onto black paper. I dry embossed a chevron pattern underneath that with a folder from Marianne design. I swiped embossing ink around the edges after adhering the panel and heat…

    Lol!

Hi crafters. I decided to try out the MFT Diagonal Design Background Stamp for a masculine card. I stamped it in light Grey ink and coloured it with YR09, Y17 and N4 copics. The chisel point is just the right width for the spaces. I then restamped in Versafine onyx black and heat embossed with black powder. The paper was not exactly aligned so I coloured it again. I had a 5×7 card base so I put Heidi Swapp washi tape at top and bottom the the cut panel with more Heidi Swapp washi tape as the sentiment strip. I trimmed a little excess card base off the bottom. The…

    Santa goes for a ride

Hi crafters. How did they know I was making a coffee card? The fall/winter coffee lovers blog hop is on. I started working on this gradually recently, but now I have incentive to finish it. I stamped MFT jingle all the way Santa on a Rubber Moon scooter. He is holding his coffee in a Hero Arts March My monthly Hero kit cup. He may have had too much as he seems a bit hyped! But he needs the caffeine to get round the world in one go. Lol. He was coloured with Arteza real brush markers. I glued the coloured panel on 2 layers of cardstock before cutting it…

    You’re a deer

Hi crafters. I was looking at the MFT sketch challenge 413 and came up with this card. I also used the colours of the Color challenge 106. I rarely use alcohol markers as I don’t have a lot of experience with them and don’t have very many, but I decided to practise with them for this card. The stamps are all from MFT jingle all the way. I stamped them all with memento tuxedo black and coloured them without adding any shading. I was going to add the green as grass but decided to keep it simpler and put it in the collars and the list. I did a quick…

    Pink thanks

Hi crafters. I made a thank you card for A blog called Hero challenge. I started by making a stencil from the Hero Arts Bold graphic confetti die and some acetate. I wanted to use Viva modellier creme in rose so I found some paper that matched. I applied the paste then sprinkled some silver embossing powder on it. When the paste was dry I melted the powder. I cut the thank you with the dies from March My monthly Hero kit from scrap white and silver paper. I dyed the white die cuts pink with distress stains. I put a nest of silver thread under the stacked die cuts.…
