    Surprise!

Hi crafters. I’ve got another funny cat card. This cat is from Katzelkraft (mini 081). I stamped the cat on watercolour paper with Versafine onyx black and watercolours with Arteza woodless watercolour pencils and a waterbrush. The sentiments are from Ink Road, Altenew and Anko. I layered the panel on brown cardstock. I am entering this card in The Cat’s Pajama’s Challenge #354: Furr friends.

    Groovy 2

Hi crafters. I decided to try and do another retro card like the last but only one layer to fit the optional challenge at Time Out challenges #129. I used Creative Expressions Ripples stencil with spiced marmalade Distress ink. I wanted to use a round sans serif font for a sixties look but I didn’t have anything like that in a stamp. I decided to make a stencil by die cutting the Sizzix scripted letter dies from scrap card. I used a small brush to apply Black soot distress ink through it. I rounded the corners of the panel and then drew lines inside the edge with a ruler and…

    Groovy!

Hi crafters. Join me in the sixties! I was inspired to try the retro challenge #129 at Time out challenges. I used the creative expressions Ripples stencil with twisted citron distress ink for the background. I placed that on black. I put vinyl stickers from Geosign on lime Green cardstock and placed that on black. I popped the background and sentiment up on fun foam. All corners were rounded. I am entering this card in Simon says Stamp Wednesday challenge: Black and white and one other colour. I ended up doing a similar one layer version for the Time out challenge instead.

    Heart card

Hi crafters. I was looking at the lovely cards for the CUTplorations February challenge when I realised this would be a perfect way to use up some already cut out flowers, bees and leaves that I had. Most of these were cut from watercolour paper with secondhand punches and watercoloured a long time ago. Some of the leaves are from Tim Holtz’s funky florals that had been cut from scrap paper in the past. I cut a heart shape from scrap and started gluing. I stamped a sentiment with Stamplorations Celebrate Stamp set onto vellum and gold heat embossed it. I’m pleased as I’ve reduced the mess in the craft…

    Bloomdala Party

Hi crafters. I made a card for the Stamplorations Mixed media February challenge. I started with a piece of gel press paper that had a little turquoise in it and spread Bo Bunny glitter paste in Seafoam and Turquoise through a Artplorations Bloomdala Bliss #15 mask. I added some gems and a sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio cut from blue acetate and gold cardstock. It’s very sparkly. I am also entering this card in the Stamplorations Never ending anything goes challenge:

    Typecast

Hi crafters. I started this card for the Simon says Stamp Monday challenge which is typography, then when I finished, I realised it fits the Wednesday challenge as well. I started by spraying red stain on some cardstock and then spraying with water and tilting. Then I created the background with the following stamps: MFT typewriter text background, 49 and market Pascale’s formula, Kaisercraft oriental calligraphy and Prima read to me. I used the Kaisercraft typography stencil on top with some Nuvo Black Ash embellishment mousse. A long time ago someone gave me various black and white Geosign vinyl stickers. I used a couple of different sizes for the sentiment.…

    Best wishes

Hi crafters. I made another card for the February Pinkfresh Studio Challenge. I cut the dainty blossoms dies from white cardstock and coloured them to suit the challenge colours with alcohol markers. I masked off an area for the sentiment and spattered and sprayed distress stains in the same colours as well as gold paint spray. The sentiment from Scripted bold sentiments 1 was gold heat embossed.

    Pinkfresh challenge

Hi crafters. I’ve got a card for the February Pinkfresh Studio Challenge. I blended distress inks to create the background then gold embossed the large stamp from the Heart and soul stamp set. I stamped the sentiment from Bold scripted sentiments 1 with Versafine Clair warm breeze (but it looks dark on the coloured background). I partially die cut a circle on the right then fussy cut the rest of the centre. I cut the panel with Waffleflower Lacy layers 5×7 dies and layered up with gold paper and foam. Various gold and pink sequins were placed in the centre. Extra blending and sequins added after a glue incident.

    Starburst

Hi crafters. The challenge at A Blog Named Hero is crafters choice. I decided to do a card with a woodblock stamp called Starburst lace. I was given this pretty stamp by a friend and it seems to have been retired. I stamped it twice with Versamark and heat embossed with SSS gold embossing powder on watercolour paper. I then sprinkled Ken Oliver sepia and burnt orange powders and misted. I then added liquid metals in ruby and coral. Finally I added Lindy’s magicals in Autumn maple crimson to accentuate the centres. The sentiment is from the March 2018 my monthly Hero kit. I stamped it in Versafine Clair Monarch…

    Feline great!

Hi crafters. When I saw that The Cat’s Pajamas Challenge is Furry Friends, I couldn’t wait to colour one of their cats. This cat and all the sentiment are both from the Let’s Party Stamp set. I stamped him with Versafine onyx black and watercoloured him with Arteza woodless watercolour pencils. I fussy cut him out and put him on a shaker window made from MFT single stitch line oval frames. I stamped the sentiment in Versafine onyx black on some Kaisercraft paper. The shaker has paper stars, sequins and tiny circles from the Paper smooches cross stitch die. I am entering this card in the following challenges: The Cat’s…
