    Glittery wedding.

Hi crafters. I need a couple of wedding cards for later in the year so I thought I should start while the Simon says Stamp Monday challenge is anniversary/ wedding. I tried something else before this card but it wasn’t working. This card started with a piece of dark grungy pattern paper. I put it in a Kaisercraft damask embossing folder which I inked up with embossing ink. I took the paper out and covered it in WOW pearl gold sparkle embossing glitter. This is awesome stuff! I then rubbed over the raised bits with embossing ink and embossed with liquid platinum embossing powder. Unfortunately I covered some of the…

    Stitched pineapple

Hi crafters. I saw the new challenge at Paper Smooches and I couldn’t get this fabulous photo out of my head. Pink and yellow is a particularly happy combination. I decided to stitch a pineapple. I couldn’t find a pattern which was right so I used the Paper Smooches cross stitch die and cut an area that would fit on a 5×7 card, then drew a pineapple shape and just made up the rest. I used mainly crotchet cotton and a bit of floss. I was going to stitch the pink areas of the pineapple but I thought it looked more modern and fitted with photo better to leave them…

    Red and purple

Hi crafters. I wanted to make a more romantic anniversary card. I also wanted to try out some die cuts from Kaisercraft( ornate flourish, damask). I cut these and glued them to scrap paper along with some of the negative pieces. I used TCW mini believe stencil to add some texture paste. When that was dry I applied gesso, then various acrylic paints in purple, pink and red. When was dry I brushed in some rose gold paint ( which looks more gold) and glued on some gems. The sentiment is from Hero Arts Hero greetings Stamp set. I used the Reverse confetti give thanks label dies. I used an…

    Happy Anniversary

Hi crafters. I’ve been playing with paint and die cuts. I used some die cuts made with the Tim Holtz Harlequin Border die. I cut this from some cardboard that I had tried cutting the Paper Smooches cross stitch die from, so it has texture and some holes. I glued this to a scrap and then added some texture paste with the Funky Fossil stencil called micro dots. I then used mint, blue, white, silver and black on the surface. I added some silver embossing powder to highlight areas, as well as some tiny rhinestones which were the same size as the other dots. The sentiment is from the Altenew…

    Find Joy

Hi crafters. I have a card for the Simon says Stamp Monday challenge: Frame it. This piece is mainly made from scraps. I layered old diecuts and bits of chipboard I had cut previously, onto scrap cardstock. I gessoed then used purple, olive, black and silver paint. There is also some stamping with The Kaisercraft script stamp. The frame is Kaisercraft ornate frame painted with the same paints, the coated with crackle accents. I made it into a little shaker with some silver sequins and beads. The letters were cut from Tim Holtz typeset alphabet die.

    Bon voyage

Hi crafters. I had a panel I made with MFT diagonal background stamp and white foil. The foil turned out a bit patchy, but I decided to turn it into a Bon Voyage card. Can you guess where they were going? Greece! I used strips of blue cardstock and cut the greeting with Tim Holtz Alphanumeric Thin dies. I am entering this card in the Simon says Stamp Wednesday challenge: Anything goes.

    Hey gorgeous

Hi crafters. I cut a piece of cardstock with The Ton geometric circles coverplate die. I coloured it roughly with Arteza markers to let the colours bleed. It wasn’t watercolour paper but it was fine. I had partially cut the die a couple of times to make the piece longer for a 5×7 card. I used a piece of gold Pellon rainbow spun (synthetic, shiny fibre sheet) over a piece of paper that had been sprayed with gold acrylic paint. I adhered the diecut over this. The sentiment is from Pinkfresh studio. I cut the writing from coloured photo paper and the shadow from a rainbow of different cardstocks plus…
