    Happy Father’s Day

Hi crafters. This card design is based on the sketch from the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 452. I started by clear embossing the MFT Diagonal Design Background Stamp on black textured cardstock. I cut 3 circles from this and red fun foam. I stamped the MFT typewriter text on white cardstock and placed that behind the circles. Red Dymo labels were sandwiched between. I am entering this card in the following challenges: MFTWSC 452 Simon says Stamp Wednesday challenge: Anything goes.

    Star shaker

Hi crafters. I have an entry for the MFT and Simon says Stamp challenges. The MFT Color Challenge #124 has these colours: The MFT Wednesday Sketch #451 challenge prompt is this: I took some liberties with alignment and shape and cut 4 MFT Stitched star peek-a-boo windows from white cardstock. These wouldn’t fit in a straight line so they are a bit jumbled, but they do have stitched borders. I cut a border along one side with scissors and glued acetate behind it. I stamped some white cardstock with the MFT grid background stamp, once with twisted citron distress oxide and once with broken china. I added foam tape to…

    Mod stripes

Hi crafters. I have a card for the MFT Color Challenge 124. I was looking at my dies and decided to use the MFT oval word window dies. I cut multiples from the 3 colours and adhered them to a white cardbase with double sided tape and a T- ruler. I cut multiple MFT smile die cuts from black and stacked them before adding a gloss coating. I am also entering this card in the Simon says Stamp Monday challenge: S is for. As S is for stripes and smile.

    Stencil CAS

Hi crafters. I watched a Shari Carroll video on distress crayons and thought this would be great for the current Less is More Challenge. I scribbled a few water-soluble crayons directly onto a cardbase, leaving a lighter area for the sentiment. I blended them together with a wet finger and then placed the Visible Image geometric maze stencil on top. I wiped away colour from the exposed areas with a baby wipe. This cardbase was not high quality paper so there is a bit of pilling, but that just adds to the texture, right? I then stamped the sentiment from Impression Obsession in Versafine Clair Twilight. I am entering this…

    CAS thank you

Hi crafters. I used another piece of the paper towel from the CAS mix up challenge. I glued some onto cardstock and cut a circle out. I cut a frame with the MFT single stitch line circle frames die. A scrap of rose gold foiled cardstock was cut with Waffleflower Magic flower border and Memory Box mini butterflies. With the sentiment, I tried to shadow stamp. I stamped the Lil inkers (spiffy spots) thank you with Versafine Clair glamorous and shifted slightly before stamping again and embossing with rose gold powder. I am entering this card in the following challenges: CAS mix up challenge for August: Paper towel My choice…

    Tim Holtz ATCs

Hi crafters. I made a couple of ATCs for the Simon says Stamp Work it Wednesday challenge. The theme is Tim Holtz. Both started with manilla cardstock to which distress stains were applied. I then used stencils from layering set 33. The yellow one had green distress inks applied through the stencil and the pink one had paste. Next I stamped the Tim Holtz glorious bouquet stamp in green onto the yellow one. I did use gel pens on the image but it isn’t noticeable. I then glued on diecuts from coordinating scraps to both cards using: Funky floral 2, Funky floral 3 and small tattered florals dies. Finally I…

    ATC 4

Hi crafters. I started this one with some book paper with number tables. I sprayed it with brown and orange sprays before cutting to ATC size. I stamped a Little Birdie fine mesh stamp around the edges with ground espresso ink. I used 49 and Market Pascale’s formula in Versafine Acorn, plus Prima Seamstress in Versafine onyx black. I then copper embossed Visible Image Elemental on top. This stamp has some circles. I used a 1/16 inch hole punch to punch holes in some circles and intersections. I threaded rose gold gift twine through the holes, along with wooden beads and copper and rose gold foiled scrap paper circles. I…

    ATC 3

Hi crafters. These ATCs could be addictive. I used a background from my paper towel experiments. I fussy cut a photo of Sophia Loren from Marie Clair and coloured her with crayons after gluing her on. I used another phrase from Erin Lee creative Don’t Stamp set. I added some flowers cut from scraps with the Kaisercraft floral branch die and then coated it all in acrylic varnish. I am entering the Simon says Stamp Monday challenge: Artist trading cards

    ATC 2

Hi crafters. I wanted to use the Erin Lee creative Don’t Stamp set. I found this guy in The photographer’s Handbook by Hedgecoe and Knopf. Before you worry about me cutting up books, this one was from the shop at the rubbish dump, so he was destined for landfill or pulping if I hadn’t rescued him. I started with manilla cardstock and sponged on abandoned coral and aged mahogany distress oxides. I then placed the Stamplorations tribal triangles stencil and sponged again with the same inks. I stamped on top with Versafine onyx black. The yet is from Simon says Stamp grunge alphabet. I put some colour on my guy…

    ATC 1

Hi crafters. I’m not sure if Simon says Stamp is reading my mind. I was looking at a library book on ATCs and a couple of hours later, the Monday challenge was ATCs. I haven’t made one before, but why not? I started with a Japanese themed artist trading card. I cut a few ATC manila sized pieces of card stock. I used white water soluble crayon on the right side. I tore a piece of paper and used that while sponging a stripe of abandoned coral distress oxide on the left. I moved the mask and sponged some more. I tore some more paper and used it on the…
