    Texture 1

    Hi crafters. The current Simon says Stamp Monday challenge is to add some texture. I used the Neat and Tangled Nested Hexagons stencil to add texture paste to kraft card stock. The sentiment is a new to me die from Poppystamps called Happy Bday Pop Culture cut out. I cut it from a scrap of Kaisercraft paper which has orange flocking. I backed it with a piece of book paper which had been stained brown. Happy crafting, Christine

    Gilded hello

    Hi crafters. I have a card for the gilding flakes challenge at CAS stencil challenge. I was trying for a modern CAS look. I started with a wash of watercolours in a rough rectangle. The watercolour included pearlised watercolour so it has a sheen. Next I placed the Dina Wakley Scribbled faces stencil over the watercolour and sponged some Flitterglue through it. I then applied some gold gilding flakes. The Flitterglue did spread a bit in places, so I adjusted the gilding in places with a craft knife.     Hero Arts Bookmark

    Hi crafters. The current challenge at A Blog Named Hero is anything but a card. I decided to make a bookmark with the Hero Arts Ink Painting Scene stamp set. I found a piece of thin grey packaging cardboard and trimmed it to shape. It already had the V shape so I incorporated that. I gessoed both sides and then added distress stains. I stamped my scene in archival inks in top. I added a little more stain and stamped some clouds with stain as well. I was worried about colour coming off in the book so I sprayed with fixative. Turns out fixative makes the archival ink run! This…
