Hi crafters. I am very proud of myself today. My cards might usually be more described as wild, maybe cluttered. But today I made a proper CAS card! I made this card for the MFT Color challenge 105. I cut stars and sentiments from MFT chevron papers with the following dies: Stacking stars, Stitched star peek a boo window, Bottlecap letters, Big birthday and Happy birthday. I layered everything on 1-2 layers of cardstock. I had a lot of stars and kept rearranging them but wasn’t happy with it. I then decided to dry emboss the brown metallic cardstock layer. This is a 5×7 card so I ended up cutting it sideways to get it all embossed with the Tim Holtz lumber folder. After that I rubbed black poster paint over it then buffed most of it off. The cardstock had been a mid brown but it was now the perfect shade of chocolate and still has the metallic sheen. 🙂
I adhered everything with multi medium matt. The neutral chevron paper looks more white in the photos.
