Santa goes for a ride

Hi crafters. How did they know I was making a coffee card? The fall/winter coffee lovers blog hop is on. I started working on this gradually recently, but now I have incentive to finish it. I stamped MFT jingle all the way Santa on a Rubber Moon scooter. He is holding his coffee in a Hero Arts March My monthly Hero kit cup. He may have had too much as he seems a bit hyped! But he needs the caffeine to get round the world in one go. Lol. He was coloured with Arteza real brush markers. I glued the coloured panel on 2 layers of cardstock before cutting it out so he is sturdy when tapped. He is mounted on a coiled wire which has a paper disc sandwich on one end.

The other end is secured underneath a panel foiled using the Tim Holtz merry Christmas stencil. I put heavy gel gloss medium (Atelier) through the stencil then placed it in a transfer folder with green foil (Fab) and ran it through the Minc on 3.

I worked out where I wanted Santa and marked at the edge of the wire circle on the panel. Don’t mark the center – as none of the wire is at the center. I put a couple of loops through the hole and secured it with a double sided tape sandwich. I like the wire long to get a lot of wiggling.

I squeezed some multi medium matt under the edge of the double sided tape and over the back of the panel with a bit extra near the wire. I positioned it on the card base and placed some heavy books on either side.

I added some red foil cardstock strips on the sides to cover some stencilling misadventures and to match Santa.
