Hi crafters. This card is made from Hero Arts products but can you see what the background is from? I decided to do more of a mixed media card today. I wanted to experiment with the gel press and black cardstock. I used a stencil I made in the past from the Hero Arts Bold graphic confetti die and scrap plastic. I placed it on the gel press and added a small amount of bright paint. I rolled this out a little with a brayer, lifted the stencil, then dabbed the pattern randomly onto black cardstock. I rolled the brayer and pressed the stencil on scrap paper then cleaned the stencil between colours. I repeated this many times with bright acrylic paint. When it was dry I trimmed it to 5×7.
The sentiment from the My Monthly Hero Kit for March was embossed in silver onto black card which had been embossed with the Hero Arts Sunburst fancy die. I popped it up on foam. I had some saved teal diamonds from using the bold graphic confetti die in the past. These had double sided tape on the back (yay!!) so I layered these 4 high and used them as embellishments on the card. I thought this might be good as a masculine card.
I am entering this card in the Blog Named Hero January challenge: crafters choice.
