Hi crafters. The problem with Marie Kondo-ing and craft is that so much “rubbish” can be reused in craft to spark joy, so it is difficult to discard. That’s what happened here. I was tidying the recipes and found this very old Betty Crocker muffin recipe booklet which I must have got from my mother.
I couldn’t throw it away as I thought the retro picture might make a good card. I decided to use it today for the Simon says Stamp Monday challenge: Vintage/past times. We seem to be in the fifties here so I rummaged around till I found some suitably retro paper from Papercrafter magazine, which I found secondhand. I went over my lady with light coloured alcohol markers then collaged the page to stiffer paper before cutting her out. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday sassy birthday. I sponged the edges with tumbled glass and twisted citron distress inks.
Well I can now recycle the rest of the booklet. (Although it was in a folder for years, I don’t think I ever followed one of the recipes!). Thanks Betty Crocker and Marie Kondo. Hopefully this will spark some joy when it is sent. I found some joy making it.
