Happy Anniversary

Hi crafters. This card was reasonably quick to do but extremely messy. I was inspired by one of Pat Huntoons’s videos and I thought the Hero Arts Tropical Background stencil would be perfect. I started by putting a piece of red cardstock through the Xyron machine. Even though I burnished the piece before I took the release paper off there were some bare bits so it helps if the cardstock matches the glitter. I placed the stencil down onto the sticky side and gently placed Mont Marte designer leaf Copper Starburst over the stencil. I pressed it in with a stiff brush. When I was happy with that and had brushed off the excess, I removed the stencil and applied red glitter and rubbed it all over with my fingers. I burnished over the glitter and brushed off the excess. I trimmed the panel down and glued it to orange fun foam over some orange mirror paper. I added a gem to the centre. The sentiment comes from Hero Arts Hero greetings Stamp set and I was pleased to discover it fits in one of the banner dies from the March 2018 My monthly Hero card kit.  It is hard to show the shine and sparkle in photographs.

The video shows the shine better.
