PearlEx bird

Hi crafters. The CAS stencil challenge this month is Perfect Pearls/ PearlEx.

I decided to make a card with the Stamplorations Perched bird stencil. I taped the stencil to the 5×7 cardstock and masked the edges. I stamped The Kaisercraft script stamp into the opening and white embossed it. I next applied embossing ink through the stencil. I cleaned the stencil and applied the PearlEx through the stencil. I used Red russet and Super Bronze. It was pretty clean when I lifted off the stencil but I still managed to smudge it every 5 min, even after water mist setting. I sprayed it with matt spray sealer so hopefully it will stay put now. I added a Technique Tuesday sentiment from the Agapanthus set in gold.

I am entering the CAS stencil challenge for June.

And also the Stamplorations CAS card challenge: Anything goes: optional mahogany.

I am also entering the CAS mix up challenge for June which is ombré.

Thank you for Sharing your STAMPlorations stenciled bird. I loved how you stamped the text thru the stencil and heat embossed. Adding stenciling with Pearl-Ex onto your bird was a tricky, but creative step. In the end, your one layer card turned out beautifully. I can imagine the shine from the heat embossing and Pearl-Ex. So pleased you added your card to CAS Stencil Card Challenge too. Hugs….Nancy

This is so pretty!! And beautifully CAS with all that white space. The script on the bird is a great addition to give it dimension. Your russet and bronze pearls give this bird an ombre effect. You should also enter this into this month’s CAS Mix Up challenge – Ombre. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Stencil!
