Ombré glitter.

Hi crafters. I made an ombré card for the CAS mix up card challenge for June. I felt the need for sparkle and this is what happened. I have these glitter foam squares with adhesive on the back. I got them at the secondhand shop but I have seen them in children’s craft kits at the discount store. I had 2 golds, 2 reds and an orange so I did an ombré block. I stuck them onto a scrap of cardstock and added red fun foam to the back. I tried a stamped background but I didn’t think that was working. I used another secondhand product instead – self adhesive contact plastic like you might cover school books in. It is a red shattered foil one with great sparkle. It diecuts well and I just apply it like a sticker and burnish it down. I cut it with the Kaisercraft texture criss cross die. I added a sentiment by gold heat embossing a word from the Impression Obsession Express yourself Stamp set. I had to be careful as the contact will melt.

I will say my extra technique is diecutting but I guess the bit in the middle is more glitter/collage. I know it’s not the type of ombré that was in mind with the challenge but I couldn’t resist the bling today.

So creative and so unique. I love the clever idea of the glitter ombre effect on those sticky foam squares. Such an eye catching card and thank you for joining in The CAS Mix Up Challenge with your wonderful CAS glittery card x.

Wow, what an amazing and artsy glittery ombre card! I love the clever use of glitter foam squares and self-adhesive contact plastic. The design of the die-cut is just perfect for the foam square panel. So is the placement of the gold heat-embossed sentiment. Thanks so much for sharing 3 wonderful cards with us at CAS Mix Up this month!
