Masked Celebrate

Hi crafters. I have another card using Kristina Werner’s masking technique with contact adhesive. I made this one for the CAS stencil challenge as the last one didn’t have any white space.

I hope making my own masks counts as stencilling. This time I used the Pinkfresh dainty blossoms dies, Pinkfresh Classic word dies and Memory Box mini butterflies dies. The contact die cuts were placed on white cardstock and burnished down with a bone folder. As they are thin diecuts I was able to curve the Celebrate word a little. I then went crazy with the spray. I had to spray a couple of times as the colour didn’t always come out properly at first. I got a bit too much spray in the purple area which got under some diecuts, especially the ones that were on top of others. I stamped the Kaisercraft script stamp across the purple/pink area but after I trimmed the panel with an oval die you can’t see much of it. I decided to stamp the “you” from the Impression Obsession express yourself Stamp set in Versafine onyx black. I matted it on a black matt. The final spray I did when spraying was gold shimmer, which you can see in the closeup photo.

I am entering this card in CAS stencil challenge for August.
