Hi crafters. Simon says Stamp Monday challenge is “S” is for….
I started by tearing strips of book paper and gluing to a thin scrap piece. I then smeared paint on with my finger in greens, cream, white and grey. I then used a credit card to swipe black paint along the strips. I swiped again with a combo of raw sienna and rose gold. I then stamped stripes with StazOn Olive with Kaisercraft script, film edges and wood grain stamps. I had been fiddling with making a web of strings with matt medium recently and I adhered that with matt medium.
The film of matt medium holding the woven strings was visible even after gluing it down with more medium, so I started searching for a sentiment that would fit in with this experiment and cover the skin of medium. I found this one which is by Stamplorations. I tried to make a frame for it with a Kaisercraft die by enlarging the centre portion of the frame. I put the copper paper frame in the Tim Holtz lumber embossing folder for texture and then rubbed paint and gilding paste on it until it fitted in a bit better. I glued the frame and sentiment together and layered it on foam tape before placing it on the panel.
Well I think that’s enough “S”s for one experiment. There is one more “S” – yay Stamptember!
I am entering this card in the Simon says Stamp Monday challenge: “S” is for…
