Inspired card

Hi crafters. The current A Blog Named Hero Challenge is about being inspired by other crafters. The card that inspired today’s card is here. Therese Calvird from lostinpaper does amazing colouring and great card designs, as well as good videos. I decided to try to do a version of the black and pink card.

I stamped the Hero Arts Rose stem Stamp in Versafine onyx black onto watercolour paper. I watercoloured it with peeled paint distress reinker, Daniel Smith Rhodonite genuine and wild honey distress stain. I really like the black on black background of Therese’s card. I could have used a stamp for the background but I opted instead to use the long leaves stencil and an embossing ink dauber. I used clear embossing powder. The flowers were adhered with black foam tape as well as the sentiment which is also from the Rose stem Stamp set.
