Hot pink Christmas

Hi crafters. I had an idea to do a modern Christmas card. I thought it would be an opportunity to use some hot pink cardstock that I have. I cut the Tim Holtz Flurry 2 die from it as well as a Kaisercraft merry Christmas. I took some paper and swiped it with diluted watercolour paint which looks pinky purple. I used a credit card to scrape on some fluoro pink acrylic paint. When that was dry I used the credit card to scrape on some heavy gel gloss. Deco and Heidi Swapp foils will stick to this heavy gel gloss as well as any shiny acrylic paints. The fluoro paint here has a matte finish and the foil didn’t stick to it. When the gel gloss was dry, I ran it through the Minc machine with rose gold foil.

I gave the flurry snowflake some rose gold acrylic paint but I wasn’t happy with it so I put it through the Minc with the rose gold foil as well. I hadn’t thoroughly applied the paint so there are hints of pink showing. I used the Waffleflower A7 layer dies to cut the swiped panel and adhered it on some pink fun foam. I think the white border makes the hot pink bearable.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Simon says Stamp Wednesday challenge: Christmas

Simon says Stamp Monday challenge: All things pink

Happy crafting

Christine
