Hi crafters. It’s been a while since I did a stitched card so I decided to use a recently acquired die from Lil Inkers. The Pointelle cover die has holes in hexagon shapes covering it. I cut it twice to cover a 5×7 card and sprayed this cardstock blue/purple. I layered over that blue tulle and green and teal sheer fabrics. I sewed through these incorporating beads as I went. I held the layers together with bulldog clips. I slashed the fabric in between and helped it curl back with a heat gun. In the past when I’ve tried this the fabrics stuck out more than this time. It might have been better with the top fabrics more gathered. For the sentiment I was going to put a big ‘A’ but this die hasn’t arrived yet ( it’s been having holidays in various parts of the world before getting here). Instead I used some new dies from The Stamp Market. These are really tall which is great for 5×7 cards. I cut these from foil tape which had been stuck to cardstock and covered with alcohol inks. I layered these on purple fun foam. I lined them up and put washi tape across them. I then put liquid glue on the back of them and picked up the washi and laid it all on the card with weights on top. I peeled off the washi when the glue was dry.
The beads do catch the light but it doesn’t really show in the photos.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
