Ink painting

Hi crafters. I do like the simple elegance of japanese art and calligraphy. I have been eyeing the Hero Arts Ink Painting stamp set since I saw the beautiful card by Jessica Frost-Ballas here. When you check out her card, read her delightful story accompanying it.

I finally own the stamp set and started experimenting with it and looking at asian ink paintings on the internet. I purchased a black ink waterbrush to provide the ink. The images in the background are second generation stamping. Those in the foreground are mainly first generation stamping except for some extra second generation trees. I extended some lines In the middle mountain area with a marker and added all the Grey with ink from the black waterbrush marker. A lot of the ink was diluted on an acrylic block to get different shades of grey. I didn’t add a sentiment to keep it a bit more CAS.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

A Blog Named Hero: Anything Goes

Less is More Challenge #411: Off Centre (one layer card)

Happy crafting,

Christine
