From the heart

Hi crafters. I have a Valentine’s Day card. I started by putting crackle paste through the Prima Finnabair Ornate Lace stencil. The paste didn’t actually crackle. When it was dry I painted the panel with turquoise, black and gold paint. I mixed some black and gold paint so it looks more like brass, and brushed that over the top. I also painted a Simon Says Stamp Burst die cut. I rubbed some gold wax over the panel as well. The Tim Holtz Heartfelt heart was coated with paint, stamped with the Hero Arts Nevermore stamp, and then covered with Crackle Accents. When it was dry, gold wax was rubbed into the cracks.

The sentiment is from Tim Holtz simple sayings stamp set. It was embossed on scrap, fussy cut and then coloured with paint.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Simon says Stamp Wednesday challenge: With Love
Simon says Stamp Monday challenge: Crack it up.
Happy crafting,
Christine

Loving the non traditional colours and that fab crackled heart! wonder why the paste didn’t crackle through the stencil?? maybe it’s because of all this rain lol.
