Hi crafters. The challenge at Simon says Stamp for Monday, is Steampunk. I don’t have any pipes or cogs or gears so I decided to improvise with stencils. I collaged some book paper into the panel, covered it with gesso and added circular, number and circuit breaker (to look like pipes) stencilling. I added stamping and acrylic paint, then gold wax over the circles. I put a copper paper scrap through an embossing folder, then put a wash of dark acrylic over it. I backed that with a deckle edged scrap, coated with stains and a sprinkle of verdigris powder. A couple of crackle finished, chipboard numbers finish it off. I think it has a Steampunk feel, what do you think?
