Hi crafters. I have a card combining a few challenges. I started with the photo for the Stamplorations April Theme and Photo challenge:
I looked at the photo and what I had, and decided to make segmented flowers with white outlines like the segments of citrus in the photo. The CAS challenge has the optional theme of lemon yellow so I made lemon flowers, with white in between the segments. The background of the above photo is a dark wooden surface so I placed my flowers on dark wood paper.
I started by cutting flowers from the CUTplorations Trendy Spring Blooms die set from white glitter paper. I glued these onto lemon cardstock and fussy cut them. I also cut a couple of glitter paper leaves from the same set. I cut a large heart from black wood grain paper and backed it with foam. I stencilled the card base behind the heart lightly with yellow ink and the Stamplorations Forest of leaves stencil ( this may be retired as I can’t find it in the shop but there are others that are similar). I also added fine black spatters to the card base. I added a few clear grey gems and hand wrote the sentiment.
