Hi crafters. Today I experimented with taking a print from a magazine picture with the gel press. Great fun. One tip- I discovered that I needed to use the same line of paints on the top and bottom layers, otherwise the image didn’t lift well – just experiment. Maybe the firmer paints do better as the second layer, than the more liquid ones.
This is from a magazine photo, where I used ochre and either Payne’s Grey or white paints. I didn’t get the paper straight so I used ochre paint to cover any white at the edges. I tried out Andy Skinner Stampendous Textures stamps around the edge also using paint. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday Perk up (stamped with Versafine onyx black and clear embossed.
I am entering this card in the Simon says Stamp Monday challenge: Monochrome
Note: I tried again a few hours later and hardly any worked so be careful not to have too much paint.
