    Playing with cats

Hi crafters. I’m playing with the Ink Road Meow mix stamp set. I cut circles from various blue and green scraps and stamped a different cat on each. The photo paper was tricky as the Versafine onyx black won’t dry on it so I embossed it. I melted the first 2. I then embossed the next OK with clear but it looked grey, so the last 2 were embossed with black powder. The sentiment is a combination from the Lil Inkers Cat Hugs Stamp set. The cats were popped up on fun foam. I am entering this card in the following challenges: Simon says Stamp Wednesday challenge: Happy Birthday Simon…

    Birthday balloons

Hi crafters. Another birthday card, this time with Reverse Confetti products. I stamped the Reverse Confetti Boxes ‘n balloons on pale green pattern paper with Versafine Clair Twilight ink. I fussy cut them with a border and glued them onto scrap card. I was trying for a tone on tone background. The first thing I tried was to stamp the Doin’ the wave die on it. I adhered it to the door of the stamping platform with double sided tape and used Versamark to stamp it on the background. I embossed it with SSS navy powder. The lines are very fine so I decided to place diecuts from the same…

    Double crossed birthday

Hi crafters. This card was started during my recent chipboard experiments, but I finished it off today. I started with heavy watercolour paper and glued on thick chipboard cut with the Tim Holtz crosshatch frameworks die. I gessoed over the chipboard. I coloured it with water- soluble crayons. I rubbed black over the top and put colours in the holes which I moved with a damp Qtip. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and I did 2 colours to help it stand out from the busy background. It was stacked. I had to add extra stacking on the ends to allow for the thick chipboard. The watercolour paper had been…

    Scrapbooked card

Hi crafters. In honour of Scrapbooking day I made a card with a scrapbook kit I was given at Xmas. The kit had paper and lots of ephemera so I used those. I cut some paper to 5×7 and stamped a MFT Handwritten Happiness greeting on it. I mixed some coral and red shimmer sprays and painted some elements of the pattern on the paper. I also used a silver Sharpie and a silver pearl. I am entering this card in the Simon says Stamp Wednesday challenge:Happy Birthday.

    Green birthday

Hi crafters. I started this card by spraying green pattern paper through the Darkroom door mesh stencil with a few sprays. I then cut the old MFT birthday centrepieces die from green cardstock. I backed it with blue acetate and turned it into a double shaker with tiny foam strips. I put silver stars in the outside and gold in the middle, with a gold 21 cut from Kaisercraft dies. I added some grunge to the background with the Kaisercraft film edges stamp and Versafine Clair green oasis ink. I also added some green and gold stars to the background. Copper 80th

Hi crafters. This card started with chipboard cut with the Tim Holtz chevron frameworks die. The pieces were glued to a piece of watercolour paper. I applied gesso to the chipboard. I sprinkled Ken Oliver, Infusions and Lindy’s magicals powders and misted. When this was dry applied Versamark pen to the edges and sprinkled copper embossing over it, letting it pile up in places. I heated until the powder was melted. I applied a mesh stamp from the dollar store plus little crosses from Concord and 9th Rainbow wishes stamp set. I cut the Technique Tuesday happy and copper embossed it. The 80th is stacked from Concord and 9th double…

    Good luck

Hi crafters. The background for this card was made on the gel press by dribbling acrylic paint on it, and also some brayering. This was then stamped with the Kaisercraft script stamp in Versafine Clair glamorous. Next I wrote good luck with a signo white gel pen. I cut good luck with Tim Holtz cutout script dies. Lastly I added some more gel pen, sequins and washi tape.   I am entering this card in the Simon says Stamp Wednesday challenge: Anything goes.

    CAS ocean waves

Hi crafters. When I got the Hero Arts Ocean Waves Bold prints Background Stamp, I had the urge to repeat Stamp it with rotation, like a turnabout Stamp. I put it in the stamping platform and stamped each layer rotating 90 degrees in between. I used Versafine Clair inks: Green oasis, Warm breeze and Twilight. I love the pattern it created. I have just been admiring it, but the time has come to turn it into a card! I cut the side off and layered it on fun foam. The sentiment is from the Hero Greetings Occasions set. I left it otherwise plain as it’s supposed to be CAS, and…
