Foiled thanks

Hi crafters. Since the Monday Simon says Stamp challenge is about foiling, I thought it would be a good chance to try foiling with embossing paste. There seems to be many varieties of paste. I used Jo Sonja’s texture paste here. I applied it through the Hero Arts long leaves stencil onto thick watercolour paper. I let it dry. I think some people apply the foil on top while it’s drying. I wanted the paste to be coloured in case the foil didn’t stick. Once dry I applied various Ken Oliver, Nuvo, Lindy’s magicals and Colour blast powders and misted. Once dry, I put it through the Minc machine with gold foil. I passed it through a few times and increased the setting to see if it helped. The foil transferred mainly on the edges of the paste and a little on top.

I finished the card by adding washi tape, a stacked Penny Black sentiment, maroon crayon to the edge and a black matt. The foiling is subtle but easily visible.

I am entering this card in the Simon says Stamp Monday challenge: Don’t be fooled, be foiled.
