Oval blossoms

Hi crafters. I had flower pieces left over from the last card so I made another one. I had Pinkfresh Studio dainty blossoms black outlines and coloured photo paper insets. I put double sided tape across the back of the open flower outlines and inlaid the coloured pieces. I burnished them to make sure they were stuck. Then I had to trim the double sided tape from the outside edges of the flowers. This was fiddly. There may be a better way to do this.

I cut an oval from a black piece of paper and adhered acetate to the back. I cut a slightly smaller rectangle of yellow funfoam and cut the oval from that as well then glued over the acetate side.

I carefully peeled the backing from the double sided tape behind the flowers and added tiny bits of glue to stems and places without adhesive. The flowers were then placed on top of the acetate and black paper and excess stems trimmed. I put some sequins in the shaker and sealed it with some neutral paper. I had thought of embossing a sentiment at the bottom but ended up cutting the love balloon die (from the Pinkfresh January release – free with purchase) from the yellow photo paper. I like the way the photo paper looks like a puffy sticker.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
