Rainbow star

Hi crafters. I started this card by swiping distress oxides in rainbow order across a piece of photo paper. I waited briefly then wiped the residue off the top with a baby wipe. I cut the piece with the Reverse Confetti tall triangles die. I played with the pieces until I decided on a star shape. I adhered them to each other in places and trimmed a couple of bits. I traced the inside with a pencil onto a card front. I then masked this area with post it notes. I stamped a greeting from the Reverse Confetti Boxes n balloons stamp set. This left some white so I applied the black ink with a sponge to the edges to cover this. I removed the masks and realised I should have masked a bit larger an area, so I used a Pitt pen to add black around the edge until it was fine with the star over it. I then glued the star down in the centre with the points free.

The colours were: wild honey, worn lipstick, abandoned coral, wilted violet, faded jeans, broken china, cracked pistachio and twisted citron.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Reverse Confetti Stock your Stash for May: Birthday

CAS mix it up challenge for May: baby wipes

I used stamping, masking and diecutting as well as the distress oxides and baby wipes on photo paper.
