Stripey CAS

Hi crafters. I have a card for a couple of challenges. The bright stripey bit was inspired by the CAS stencil challenge for August. The technique is sprays. I used the Stamplorations Plaid maker stencil. I had to have a couple of tries to get my stripes without too much seepage. I used my sprays in rainbow order along a piece of cardstock. I had scrap paper taped to the edges to stop over spray, and moved it along to cover the gaps. This is what the piece looked like before I cut it.

The stripes aren’t perfect but I love the bright colours. For this card I cut a strip from the right side.

I also cut 2 strips of black cardstock with the Cutplorations Art edges die. I adhered these under the bright strip with double sided tape. This panel was adhered with foam tape. The numbers were cut from scrap embossed black cardstock and black fun foam with The Cat’s Pajamas Numbers plate die. The Happy Birthday is from Stamplorations Baa Baa Stamp set.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

CAS stencil challenge for August: Sprays

Stamplorations Mixed media challenge

Stamplorations CAS card challenge:

The Cat’s Pajamas Tuesday #360 challenge: Clean and simple

The male room #117 challenge: Birthday

I am giving this to a male. Looks a bit like your logo, doesn’t it!
