Winnie and Walter

Hi crafters. This is the Winnie and Walter inspiration photo:

This such a fabulous room. I decided to try to recreate that wall with distress oxides on photo paper. I smushed faded jeans, wilted violet, worn lipstick, cracked pistachio and antique linen. When it was all dry I wiped off the oxide on top to reveal the bright colours. I thought it would be nice to stitch the light cables hanging down. I tried to sew them on the sewing machine but the silver thread was messing up and breaking and the panel was getting marked. I decided to just stitch it by hand instead. The marks rubbed off luckily. I cut some stars and a happy cutaway from silver glitter paper. I also cut happy from the panel and inlaid the silver happy. I decided the glitter wasn’t sparkly enough so I added glue to the stars and the edges of the silver happy and added some iridescent glitter. I then glued the original Happy over the top a little offset.
