Dazzle tape

Hi crafters. If you have a bling allergy, you may want to leave now! I was challenging myself to make Christmas cards with some gel press paper in pink and oranges. I had a piece left over from some other cards, which I spread the remains of some home made glitter paste on. I used the Funky Fossil micro dots stencil. I thought this looked good enough for its own card. I was wondering what I could use with it when I spied a roll of Dazzle tape that I had discovered in a shop.

I don’t usually mix my metals (silver and gold), but it seemed to work with the warm colours in the gel print. I stuck a strip of Dazzle tape to the top and bottom of a dirty card base ( win win!). I cut the Tim Holtz Christmas Ribbon die from Dazzle tape adhered to scrap cardstock. I also cut it from pink paper and pink foam. I layered these up to have a little shadow and adhered it to the gel print which was popped up on fun foam. This is sooo glittery that it is hard to photograph, but it looks quite glamorous in person. With so much sparkle I didn’t put anything else on it.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Simon says Stamp Monday challenge: Tape it up

Simon says Stamp Wednesday challenge: Anything goes

Happy crafting,

Definitely sparkle overload here, but in a good Christmassy way lol. I am always surprised how well silver and gold ‘go together’, it’s a fab and fun design Christine!
