Gilded hello

Hi crafters. I have a card for the gilding flakes challenge at CAS stencil challenge. I was trying for a modern CAS look. I started with a wash of watercolours in a rough rectangle. The watercolour included pearlised watercolour so it has a sheen. Next I placed the Dina Wakley Scribbled faces stencil over the watercolour and sponged some Flitterglue through it. I then applied some gold gilding flakes. The Flitterglue did spread a bit in places, so I adjusted the gilding in places with a craft knife. The adhesive which was exposed was removed with an adhesive eraser. I did the hot foil quill pen sentiment by hand with gold foil. It’s not perfect but I think it’s OK with this image. I trimmed the panel and placed it on a pink cardbase.

The face is more easily seen without direct light on the gold.

Happy crafting,
