Homage to Dina

Hi crafters. I needed some bright colours, so I let my inner Dina Wakley loose. I admire her bright, funky art works. I painted the background with acrylics and did some messy stencilling. I tore some masks from scrap and sponged the background with diluted white paint. I had a lot of trouble trying to do white lines. The white paint and gel pens I have are not drawing or only when I press down. (If anyone has advice on making trouble free white lines please let me know in the comments). I tried stencilling with white paint and TCW script stencil but it’s blurry. I used a Dina TCW (mini Sally and Carly) stencil to stencil a black figure and stamped white paint with a Carabelle ( collage des ronds) stamp on top. There are some black archival crosses with a Concord and 9th Rainbow wishes stamp. I did a bit of black sharpie asemic writing at the bottom.

I am sending this to Simon says Stamp Monday challenge which is add some texture.

Try something new, why not?

hahaha I hear you, I just bought some of the Gelly Rolls (set of three) to try as I had trouble with the UniBall, which I have previously found to be the best. I have thought about it though and I was wondering if it’s because I rarely use the thing…. maybe if I used it all the time then it would be better, much like some of the liquid glues? ps loving your bright cheery colours Christine, it’s just what we need!
