Cluck it!

Hi crafters. Just chicken in with a fowl card for you. 🙂 Enough bad puns, but I have chickens on my mind at the moment.

Since I am experimenting with the gel press, I am accumulating paper with prints that aren’t suitable for cards. There was one with fall colours that I thought would make great chickens. I used the chicken from the Technique Tuesday cheeky chickens Stamp to stamp as many chickens across the paper as possible and then cut them out (ignoring the legs).

I needed somewhere for my flock to frolic. I cut a piece of pale green striped paper and layered green on it with the gel press. I used a Neat and Tangled stamp from landscape textures to make make grass texture before printing in various greens.

I stamped the chicken stamp in Versafine onyx black as well as just the legs of the chicken from the technique Tuesday chicken family stamp. This enabled me to vary the angle of the chickens. The cut out chickens were glued on top of the background with the legs.

The sentiment is also from the chicken family stamp set. I touched up the outlines with a Pitt pen and added dots for the eyes. I used gel pen on the beaks.

I am entering this card in the Simon says Stamp Wednesday challenge:

Anything goes

The textures and off the chart coloring ideas on this card are just amazing! I love how you went unique and creative in terms of giving this card a very mixed media appearance. Thank you so much for joining us on Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Have a lovely day! xx Ankita
