Hip Hip

Hi crafters. The theme at Simon says Stamp Wednesday challenge is: Use your favourite tool. My favourite tools are my diecutting machine and my Hotfoil machine ( which also uses the diecutting machine). So I have a completely diecut card today. The arches were cut with the Mod Rainbow cover die from The Stamp Market. I did a bit of a radical thing with it. I took it out of the packet and immediately cut the frame portion away from the arches. I was prepared to use an angle grinder, but my metal snips nicked it enough to snap the metal. I then used a small metal file to file down the tiny bit of cutting edge remaining from the frame portion, and to file the corner edges. I did this because I don’t make A2 cards. Without the frame I can easily use it on any size card. For this 5×7 card I cut the arches from about a dozen colours and randomly put them together. The ‘hooray’ was cut from black glitter cardstock with The Stamp Market Skinny upper alpha dies. These were adhered onto yellow fun foam. The ‘hip’ s were cut with the MFT bottle cap letter dies. It was adhered onto a yellow card base.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Simon says Stamp Wednesday challenge: Use your favourite tool. I’ve used my diecutting machine.

Simon says Stamp Monday challenge: Happy Birthday

Happy crafting,

I would have to say that my Die cutting machine (s) are one of my fave tools too as there are sooo many different techniques that can be done with them! Loving your cheery rainbow retro style card Christine!
