Alcohol ink prints

Hi crafters. I was watching Denise Lush gel print with alcohol inks and decided to try it. I used a 5×7 plate and first covered it with yellow and green ink. I placed a stencil on top and added various colours to the holes. I let it dry for a while before removing the stencil. The stencil actually removed the yellow and green ink in many places. When the ink was completely dry I brayered a small amount of white acrylic paint on top and pulled the print on some copy paper. The colours and texture the alcohol ink creates are really interesting. I decided to stencil ‘hey’ on with the Stamplorations Hello and company stencil and heavy gel gloss medium. The alcohol ink is a bit thick in places and stays shiny. When I foiled with blue foil, these shiny areas took up the foil. I cleaned them up with a sand eraser and a craft knife.

I am entering this card in Simon says Stamp Monday challenge: Remembrance/ Thinking of you.
