Dendritic prints

Hi crafters. I saw a video on dendritic prints today, so I had to try it. It is basically squashing acrylic paint between 2 acrylic plates until the paint is thin; then, when the plates are pulled apart, a leafy, branching pattern appears. I decided to use the colours from the November Pinkfresh Studio challenge.

I used mainly metallic paints (which makes it harder to photograph), and printed onto gold metallic card bases. I ended up with 2 separated plates to print from. This is my other print.

And a couple of close ups. The patterns that appear from the squished paint are amazing. I used the cover of my stamping platform and a large acrylic stamping plate to squish the paint between.

I chose the more circular print and added a purple frame and a blue sentiment cut with the Pinkfresh Studio Thin words: Thank you dies. The leaves were cut from gold glitter cardstock with dies from the Dainty Blossoms and Botanical triangle frame builder sets. I added a few gems and dots.
I have a reason to be thankful myself this week; my Pinkfresh order from many months ago arrived after a USPS world tour. Yay!
I am entering this card in the November Pinkfresh Studio challenge.
Thanks for visiting,
Christine
