Hi crafters. I made a card for the Simon says Stamp Monday challenge ( Add a quote) as part of my tidying up. I collaged scraps of book paper and diecut waste onto a sheet of paper. I added some gesso and Distress crackle paste through a Prima stencil. The next layers were acrylic paint, stamped tissue paper (main one is Simon says Stamp Old Letter 1878), stains and Distress crayons. I tried out a Couture Creations Cut and Foil leaf die on scraps of vellum and tracing paper. I also foiled the waste pieces of diecut foil (lower leaves) as these looked almost as good. The waste leaves are a bit more distressed but fine for this project. The Kaisercraft frame was cut from scrap cardboard 3 times then embossed with 3 layers of Simon says Stamp Antique Gold embossing powder. The little foliage bits were found in the scraps box and painted and stained. I used a few pearls as well. The left side piece of paper was a piece I had torn from a magazine and then stamped on. I used some of this same magazine paper to back the sentiment strips, which come from Tim Holtz Snarky Small Talk. I stained the sentiment strips so they weren’t too white. The photo comes from Tim Holtz Photobooth.
It was very satisfying to use so many scraps.
