Hi crafters. Both challenges at Simon says Stamp are “feminine” at the moment. This card came together in a round about way. I had this piece of cardboard with a round hole which I thought about using in a shaker. I was listening to a podcast with Dina Wakley and she was talking about liking knitting with hot pink yarn. I thought, of all the colours, hot pink is probably the most associated with ‘feminine’. Then at the secondhand shop there was hot pink yarn! I took it home and this is the result. Behind the circle is black gesso and gold paint on a scrap. I painted the cardboard black and stencilled over it with white gesso and a homemade stencil. There are gold Foil Quill scribbles on top of this. I cut a Kaisercraft Sketch circle from hot pink cardboard. I punched a few holes across the bottom and added my hot pink and some black yarn to make tassels. I added a Tim Holtz Small Talk sticker.
Well, this is my mixed media take on feminine. So do you think hot pink is enough to make something feminine?
I am entering this card in the following challenges
