Papaya print
Hi crafters. Still experimenting with gel press prints. I know I don’t have to keep them all, but I’m trying to figure out ways to use them on cards. Today I decided to try them in an embossing folder. The press and paper is 5×7 so I found this Cuttlebug Papaya Halves folder which is also 5×7. This print was loud and busy and I wasn’t holding a lot of hope for it, so there is no before photo. I brushed it over with Versafine Clair Monarch after the folder. It seemed to bring it together and improve it.
I decided to experiment with embossing on ribbon. I stamped a sentiment from MFT All About You and heat embossed with SSS gold embossing powder. The embossing soaks into the ribbon but remains clear.
I discovered that misting the back of a gel print before embossing in a folder is a bad idea. I tried that on an earlier one and the moisture made the paint on the print stick to the folder and tear.
I am entering this card in the Simon says Stamp Monday challenge: Use more than 1 stencil.
Stencils used in gel print:
Stamplorations: stained glass
Kaisercraft: grid
