Hi crafters. This card has been developing in my head for a little while and I was spurred into action by the CAS-ual Fridays and Simon says Stamp current challenges.
The tulle and the flat rose gold sequins are from a sequinned top I found secondhand. The sequins had been sewn onto the tulle. When I unpicked the sequins, I thought the tulle and rose gold would be great for the colour scheme for this card. The paper is from Craft stall. I cut that with the MFT single stitch line oval frames die. I kept the rest of the paper to add inside and outside. I cut lots of ovals from scrap card and started stacking them. There are about 8 layers, then gathered tulle, then 2 more layers, then acetate, then pattern paper.
I was generous with the glue and had to redo things sometimes. I painted the inside edge and top scrap oval layers with rose gold acrylic paint as they would be visible.
Did you see the jacks die cuts? ( Jumping Jacks Fri dies: CAS-ual Fridays). I layered these to make them fat and put a rose gold foil layer ( leftover from this card) and a rhinestone on top.
I put the jacks and sequins that matched the paper inside the shaker with the pattern paper inner oval at the back. I layered sequins and pearls for flowers for the frame and cut leaves from rose gold foil with Tim Holtz funky florals 2 and 3 dies.
The sentiment is from Paper smooches. I traced the oval die onto a top folding card base leaving a hinge. I cut it out with a flared stand below the oval. The remaining pattern paper didn’t reach to the bottom so I cut some double sided tape with pinking scissors and applied rose gold foil scraps to it. The end of the pattern paper under the foil showed as a ridge so I added pearls on top of the foil. The card will easily fit in a 5×7 envelope.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
